The ISE - Institute for Lightweight Structures and Energy Efficiency gGmbH is a non-profit, industrial research institution that conducts industry-related and application-oriented research and development for and with small and medium-sized companies in the research areas of lightweight structural engineering and energy efficiency. These include product and process development from the component to the building.

The competencies of the ISE are structural lightweight construction (building element, building, ship concepts) and energy efficiency (renewable energies, energy saving).

ISE has a broad network of SMEs and research institutions as well as extensive know-how and experience in the field of network coordination (including funded ZIM-networks).

ECO°COOL was founded by economics graduate Heinrich Siedenburg and engineering graduate Ulf C. Abbes in 1999. Dr. Florian Siedenburg has been managing the company since 2015. ECO°COOL cooling packaging and packaging components are being successfully used by a growing number of customers in the pharmaceutical, high quality online food distribution, transport, and logistics industries. Our production processes are basically manual, supported by a modern machine park on more than 2000 m² of roof covered space.

Gewerbliche Kühlanlagen is a craft company in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning, which was founded in 1997. The customers come from industry as well as from the catering / hotel and food sectors. The craft company plans, delivers and installs customer-specific refrigeration and air conditioning systems and takes over their repair and maintenance.
Clina Heiz- und Kühlelemente GmbH is the leading manufacturer of plastic capillary tube mats and was founded in 1994. Since then, custom-made capillary tube mats have been supplied for well over 2000 projects worldwide. The name Clina stands for Climatisation naturelle, i.e. the natural temperature control (via radiation and convection) of rooms or buildings with high efficiency and greatest comfort.
Technosteel GmbH was founded in 2005, has its own steel construction production and specializes in the manufacture and assembly of balconies, spiral staircases and escape stairs. The products are further expanded by completing them with Trespa, laminated safety glass or single-pane safety glass, gratings, stainless steel handrails.

ASGLAWO® technofibre GmbH is an international producer and service provider in the field of innovative insulation and reinforcement materials. The competence for customer-specific problem and system solutions is based on know-how from more than 65 years of company history.

The Chair of Glass and Enamel Technology of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg deals with research and development in the field of glass,Enamel technology and composites.
The "Chair Building Physics and Technical Building Equipment" of the TU Dortmund focuses in the field of "Energy and heat protection" on the topics "thermal bridges and thermal optimization" and "load-bearing vacuum insulation elements".
The professorship for building energy technology and heat supply of the TU Dresden is dedicated to current research questions of energy and heat supply of buildings, neighborhoods and communities, heating and ventilation technology and building automation, thermal comfort and drinking water hygiene, the integration of renewable energy sources in existing energy systems and energy - and load management including the building and plant simulation and represents this subject matter in teaching and student training.
The Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research (ZAE Bayern) is a non-university research institute with approx. 180 employees, which receives institutional funding from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Land Development and Energy. The ZAE Bayern offers complete innovation packages in the field of efficient and sustainable energy systems and is present nationwide with two main locations in Garching near Munich and Würzburg as well as three branch offices in Hof, Arzberg and Nuremberg. For more than 25 years, ZAE Bayern has been a registered association based in Würzburg. In its central competence areas of renewable energies, energy storage and energy efficiency, ZAE Bayern combines materials research, component development and system optimization into a seamless value chain in an interdisciplinary research approach.
